Originally from Ohio, Steve Shininger was a music educator before joining the USAF Band as a percussionist.  After tours in San Antonio, TX, Germany and Omaha, NE, he separated from the military and continued drumming and singing with several ensembles in the Omaha area.  While developing his vocal style, he began to imitate Frank Sinatra and quickly built a following, performing in casino and theater shows to rave reviews.  His percussion skills have earned him positions with the Omaha Jazz Orchestra, the Lincoln Symphony Orchestra, the George Walker Trio and various variety bands and jazz combos.
